As you say, if you could turn back time may be you could make it right. Unfortunately you can't do that. The best thing you can do, as hard as it is, is to wait. It is possible his new relationship is on the rebound, or just to show you he can get someone else. It may very well end quickly. Try and remain a friend, be civil and helpful but don't do as he has done and flaunt a new partner in front of him. If you do find someone else, do go out with them, but don't push it in his face. See more of your friends and keep yourself busy but be ready if he needs you without being obvious. Then you can let him know how you feel, but don't gush.
